I have my home network configured for conservative resilience because my high-density apartment complex near an airport makes any configuration wider than 80mhz randomly flaky due to the erratic 30-device interference patterns, so I can absolutely see why someone would design a handheld wireless product to prioritize stability over excess megabits. The technical details buried in this article are noteworthy — I haven’t read them anywhere else — and now I want to experiment with QAM at home to see if I can improve things for ‘faster’ devices too.
